Portland Chapter of the ADA

            On April 30^th, 2005 the First Annual Rock Against Diabetes was held at The Mississippi Pizza Pub. With a $10 suggested donation at the door the event raised almost $1100.00! The place was packed, but there was still room for many of our old friends, and some new ones as well. Some of the performers that donated their time, talent, and money were: Sketchy Ted, The Lonesomes, Scotland Barr & the Slow Drags, James Sasser, Mars Needs Women, Steve Wilkinson from  Mission 5, and Grant Cumpston

Karl’s sister appeared as a clown and made lots of fun balloon hats and animals for the kids. We were both excited and pleased by the turnout and success of the event.
