We raised $266 at our Garage Sale over Labor Day Weekend. Thank you to those that were able to donate items, time and support, especially: Janet and Don Heilbrun, Madison Heilbrun, Aaron
Kaio, Monique Tindall and Lisa Masog.
Henry is adjusting to his pump. We change his infusion set without too much hassle, every 2 to 3 days. The pump acts more like a healthy person’s pancreas by giving small amounts all the time. It allows Henry to
have more normalcy in his life. He is able to eat when we choose rather than being tied to very specific meal times. He is excited about being able to have birthday treats at school this year. Surprisingly his A1C
is 7.8, for those who know what that means. It is really good for his age and an improvement. Perhaps it is because we are watching more closely right now (:
We will have to wait to move our benefit concert to the Crystal Ballroom; we were not able to book a band with a big enough draw. We will most likely do a small gig with just a few bands perhaps at Ash Street.
If you are in a band and would like to donate a gig let me know! We can promote it some, come work the door, bring our banner and a few people (:
Look forward to additional fundraising ideas! All funds raised go to the JDRF. This time of year we put the money toward our walk team…you can choose who gets the credit (:
